For radio stations

Last updated: August 21, 2026

If you received an email from us asking whether you authorise your station page, this page answers what stations usually ask before deciding. Anything not covered here, write to [email protected].

Do you insert ads or prerolls into our stream?

No. The player points at your stream URL and plays the audio exactly as it leaves your station — no insertion, no cuts, no re-encoding.

There is one exception in the path, and it is not an ad: a station still broadcasting over http is blocked by the browser inside an https page. For those, the audio passes through our server only to be re-served over https. It is a byte-for-byte pipe — nothing added, nothing removed. Everything else plays straight from your server.

If it is free, how does emRadios make money?

Through an advertising marketplace — and the station is never the one paying.

An advertiser searches the directory and requests airtime. You set the price for your airtime and accept or decline each campaign individually. Our 6% is added on top and paid by the advertiser: you receive exactly what you quoted.

The spot runs on your air, played by you, in the slot you accepted. We do not put any audio into your stream. Taking part is optional, and being listed is free either way.

Do you transmit metadata (now playing)?

No. Our player does not request ICY metadata and does not display the track currently on air.

That is a current limitation rather than a policy — we would rather say so than overstate what the product does.

What does being listed cost?

Nothing, now or later. No contract, no exclusivity, and nothing expected in return.

What does replying "OK" to your email mean?

Only that you authorise your station to stay listed in the directory, with its name, logo and the public link to your signal.

It does not transfer any rights over your signal, brand, logo or content — all of it remains yours. The full rules are in our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

How do we get out, if we change our mind?

Reply STOP to any of our emails. The page comes down and your address goes on our suppression list — no argument, no justification needed.

Our page has wrong information. How do we fix it?

Write to [email protected] telling us what is wrong. The most common fixes are stream URL, station name, frequency, city and logo.

If the audio playing on your page is not your station, tell us urgently: we take the page down immediately and only restore it once you confirm the correct stream address.

For the logo, a direct link to the image file works best.

We run other stations. Can you add them?

Yes, on the same terms. Send us, for each one: exact name, stream link, website, city and logo.
